The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The comedian

Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.

An official for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
